Marvin Sordell surprised at Bolton switch

Marvin Sordell has admitted that he was surprised by his deadline day move from Watford to Bolton Wanderers.

The England Under-21s international, who has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at the Reebok Stadium, could make his debut against Norwich City on Saturday.

"To be honest I didn't expect it at all," Sordell told Sky Sports News.

"I was all ready to stay at Watford for the remainder of the season and carry on doing as well as I can for them.

"I want to do as well as I can here. The manager has brought me in because he believes in me and I want to repay his faith in me by going out and scoring lots of goals."

Bolton are currently 17th in the Premier League table.
