Neil Lennon has vowed to use the cash from Tim Ream's imminent sale to bolster his Bolton Wanderers squad.
The United States international is expected to complete a move to Championship rivals Fulham in the coming days.
Bolton are likely to earn up to £2.3m from the deal, which Lennon will use to spearhead a recruitment drive before the transfer window closes in two weeks' time.
"We've got to add to the squad now," he told The Bolton News. "Fulham upped the bid from QPR and Tim made it clear he wanted to go there.
"We've come out of it better off and he seems to have got the move he wants. Now we think we can get another attacking player in by Tuesday and it's been well documented that we're after [Francesco] Pisano the right-back. That's the plan."
Bolton have picked up one point from their opening two fixtures this season to see them occupy a place in the bottom three.
