Lennon confirms QPR interest in Ream

Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon has confirmed that the club are close to "agreeing a deal" with Queens Park Rangers for the transfer of Tim Ream.

Reports earlier today suggested that a seven-figure fee had been agreed, and Lennon has now confirmed that he is close to leaving.

"We're close to agreeing a deal with QPR for Tim Ream," Lennon told reporters. "It frees up a wage and we'll look to use that.

"Tim is a good player and has been very consistent for us. If we can get a couple of players in then it'll improve the squad.

"We want to bolster the defence & bring in a quick, attacking player. We're hoping to bring one in before the weekend."

Lennon also confirmed that midfielder Darren Pratley would be out for "a few weeks" after damaging ankle ligaments in Saturday's goalless draw with Derby County.
