Chris Herd completes Bolton Wanderers loan switch

Bolton Wanderers have secured the services of Aston Villa midfielder Chris Herd.

The 25-year-old, who is yet to feature for Villa this season, has agreed a deal at the Reebok Stadium that will expire on November 8.

The Championship club have confirmed that the paperwork has been completed in time for him to be in the squad for tomorrow evening's League Cup tie away at Chelsea.

Herd, who can play either in midfield or at full-back, will wear the number 29 shirt during his stint with Bolton.
