Nigel Reo-Coker: 'Fulham loss a wake-up call'

Nigel Reo-Coker is keen to move on from Bolton Wanderers' 3-0 defeat to Fulham ahead of their meeting with Newcastle United.

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker has bemoaned his side's lack of spark after their defeat to Fulham.

The Trotters lost their first match in four Premier League games on Saturday, and Reo-Coker believes they need to use the loss as a wake-up call ahead of their Easter Monday clash with Newcastle.

"It was very lethargic," Reo-Coker told The Daily Telegraph.

"We didn't give a true account of ourselves. You could see from the start we lacked that bit of spark, that little bit of belief.

"It has put more pressure on the game at Newcastle but let this be a wake-up call to us. It doesn't mean we are going to continue in the same vein. The good thing is we have a chance to put it right straight away."

Bolton are just one point above the relegation zone but have a game in hand over the four teams below them in the table.
