Muamba: Reebok Stadium is "special"

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba has said that the Reebok Stadium is "a special place".

Muamba, who made an appearance on the pitch prior to the club's defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, admits that he was "grateful" for the overwhelming support from both sets of fans after suffering a cardiac arrest less than two months ago.

"I'm happy to see the fans," he told Sky Sports News. "I'm just happy that I'm here.

"I'm grateful to be able to walk again. [The Reebok Stadium] is a special place. The support that I got is overwhelming and I'm grateful for it. My message is going to be thank you."

Meanwhile, the Trotters host West Bromwich Albion this weekend.
