Lennie Lawrence leaves Crystal Palace to link up with Dougie Freedman at Bolton Wanderers.

Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman has admitted that he is "delighted" that Lennie Lawrence has agreed to join him at the Reebok Stadium.

Lawrence was Freedman's assistant during his spell at Crystal Palace, and the 38-year-old boss believes that Lawrence's experience will help move Bolton forward as a club.

Freedman said: "I'm delighted to have been able to bring Lennie in.

"He has a wealth of football experience and knowledge which will benefit us greatly moving forward."

The duo have joined Bolton with the club languishing in 18th place in the Championship table.
