Striker Jermaine Beckford has revealed that he is delighted to have been given the opportunity to work with Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman.
Beckford has moved to the Reebok Stadium for an undisclosed fee from Leicester City, and the forward has heaped praise on his new boss, with whom he played at Leeds United.
The 29-year-old told the club's official website: "The manager is a big part of the reason I decided to sign here. I know him quite well as a person and he is a top guy.
"We obviously played up front together at Leeds. Playing with him for that short period of time, I certainly believe that he helped make me a better player; I learned a lot from him.
"Since he became a manager, he's someone that I've always wanted to work with. I feel that this is the perfect opportunity."
The former Everton frontman ended last season on loan at Huddersfield Town.
