Sunderland midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini is reportedly on the verge of joining Bologna.
The 30-year-old has struggled for playing time at the Black Cats since joining from Italian champions Juventus in July 2013.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the Italy international will undergo a medical with Bologna on Sunday ahead of a loan move to the newly-promoted Serie A club.
Giaccherini has made 21 appearances for Italy and represented his country at Euro 2012.
