Paul Ince eager for 'quality signings' at Blackpool

Ince eager for 'quality signings'

Blackpool manager Paul Ince has insisted that the club is working hard to bring in "quality players" this summer.

The 45-year-old is preparing for his first full season in charge of the Seasiders following his arrival in February.

Despite a number of departures in recent weeks at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool are yet to add to their squad.

"We're trying our best to bring in quality players," he told the Blackpool Gazette. "There just hasn't been any good news coming out of Blackpool, and we just want some for the supporters.

"I want to put a team out that's going to be competitive in what is a very, very hard Championship. I think it's going to be even harder this year than last, and if we don't get the right players in I think it will be a tough, tough season for us."

Blackpool start the new campaign at Doncaster Rovers on August 3.
