Barry Ferguson close to new deal?

Barry Ferguson is reportedly closing on a new contract with Championship outfit Blackpool.

The Scottish midfielder has been offered fresh terms by the club having won his place back in the side in the latter part of the season.

It had been reported that the former Rangers anchorman could seek pastures new, but according to Sky Sports News, he is close to agreeing a new deal with Blackpool.

The 35-year-old spent a period on loan at Fleetwood Town earlier in the season.
