Blackpool extend Niall Maher's loan

Blackpool have secured the loan services of Bolton Wanderers defender Niall Maher until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old initially joined the Seasiders in January on a one-month deal.

However, having impressed manager Lee Clark, the full-back will now see out the campaign at Bloomfield Road.

"Niall is a player we rate and I'm pleased that we've been able to keep him at the club," Clark told the club's official website.

A groin injury sidelined Maher for last night's 4-0 defeat away at Brentford.
