Blackpool manager Ian Holloway criticises his defenders following his side's 1-0 loss at home to Derby County.

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has criticised his side's defence following their 1-0 defeat to Derby County last night.

Visiting County scored the only goal of the game in the 20th minute courtesy of Craig Bryson, who reacted quickest to a parry from goalkeeper Matt Gilks.

Boss Holloway was disappointed that Bryson was allowed so much room to score what turned out to be the winning the goal.

"At the end of the day I feel like we've been mugged because you shouldn't, as a back four, let one of their midfield players or strikers get there first off a rebound," Holloway told the club's official website.

"Our keeper made a brilliant save and we had a lot more tangerine shirts around it, but they got there first. I didn't think I'd see someone have more will than us to get there first in our box. Those things change games and make it difficult."

Next up for the Seasiders is a trip to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.
