Charlie Adam has revealed that he will not be satisfied remaining at Bloomfield Road to play Championship football.
Keen to retain Adam, Blackpool have activated a clause in his contract giving him another year at the club, although the midfielder is hoping for a transfer back to the Premiership.
“I hope a Premiership club comes in for me and they agree a fee with Blackpool,†he told Daily Record. “It would be nice if any business between myself and the club can be conducted amicably.â€
However, he stressed that he has only fond feelings for the club. “I really can’t thank Blackpool enough,†he continued. “I wasn’t playing for Rangers and they took a gamble on me. They helped build up my confidence as it was low at the time.â€
“I’d like to think I have repaid them in many ways and that they have been please with their investment in me.â€
The Scottish international was the subject of unsuccessful bids from various Premiership clubs in the January transfer window.
