Spurs make Christopher Samba bid

Tottenham Hotspur have made a bid for Blackburn Rovers' Christopher Samba, according to Sky Sports News.

The North London club are said to have offered cash plus players for the 27-year-old.

Spurs may have to contend with rivals Arsenal for the Congolese international's signature, as the Gunners have also been linked with the player after having their bid for Everton's Phil Jagielka was rejected.

Samba moved to Ewood Park from German side Hertha Berlin in 2007 for £450,000.
