Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has declared his joy at the club's capture of Leon Best from Newcastle United for a fee of £3m.
Signing a four-year deal with Rovers, Best is Kean's second acquisition in a week, and Kean has announced that he is "delighted" to have added Best to his squad.
"I had identified Leon Best and Danny Murphy as two major targets so to be able to secure both of them inside a week is a massive plus for us," Kean told the club's official website.
"I've known Leon since his time at Coventry City and he is a proven striker from the Premier League and also knows exactly what it takes to be successful in the Championship."
Blackburn are hoping to bounce straight back into the Premier League after relegation last season.
