Blackburn Rovers deny sacking Gary Bowyer

Blackburn Rovers have insisted that manager Gary Bowyer has not been sacked, despite media reports.

Rumours began to circulate earlier today that the club had got rid of the 44-year-old after their slow start to the season, in which they are yet to win a game.

However, the club tweeted that there is no truth in the reports.

We would not normally comment on speculation, but reports this evening regarding our manager are totally untrue and without foundation.
