Blackburn Rovers owners to consider Steve Kean's future next month

Rao: Kean's future undecided

Blackburn Rovers co-owner Venkatesh Rao has hinted that Steve Kean's position at the Lancashire club may not be as secure as had been thought.

The Scotsman was scrutinised throughout the season by the majority of Blackburn supporters, who have been openly disgruntled at Kean as well as the club's owners Venky's.

While the 44-year-old has maintained that the board will support him despite dropping the club down into the Championship, Rao has suggested that a number of decisions will be made next month following talks with the Scotsman in India last week.

"Everything is still in confusion but in the next month we will be in a proper situation to talk about [Kean's future]," Rao told Sky Sports News. "Next month let us see what happens.

"We are talking about various things - about the manager, the players, the staff, about the club, so I would say kindly to bear with us for some time and all the picture will be cleared."

Blackburn, along with Bolton Wanderers and Wolverhampton Wanderers, will line up in the Championship next season following relegation.
