Allan McGregor opts for Besiktas over Galatasaray

McGregor agrees Besiktas move

Former Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor has agreed to join Besiktas on a two-year deal.

The 30-year-old, who has been in the hunt for a new club after deciding to leave the financially-stricken Scottish outfit, has narrowed his options down to Turkish outfits Besiktas and Galatasaray.

"It's a big club, with a big tradition," McGregor told BJK TV. "Supposedly, they have great fans and a lot of noise in the stadium so I'm very excited.

"Every time I play, I don't like losing, which is a good thing to have. I'll just give my all for the team and hopefully I can do my best."

The shot-stopper spent 11 years at Ibrox before deciding to call time on his Rangers career.
