Nottingham Forest have closed in on the signing of Bayern Munich full-back Omar Richards for a fee of £10m, according to a report.
The newly-promoted Premier League side have been keen to strengthen both wing-back areas ahead of their long awaited return to the top flight in the 2022-23 campaign.
Liverpool's Neco Williams has been a target for the right-hand side of the pitch, and Steve Cooper's side reportedly agreed a £17m fee with the Merseyside club in recent days ahead of a potential deal for the Welshman.
On the opposite side, former Reading left-back Richards has been a target for the Reds all summer, and The Athletic are now reporting that Forest have edged closer to securing the 24-year-old's signature.
The report suggests that an £8.5m fee has been agreed with the Bundesliga champions, with add-ons potentially increasing the total cost to around £10m.
A four-year deal has been agreed between Richards and Forest according to the report, with a medical due to take place on Friday ahead of the completion of the move.
After joining the Bavarians on a free transfer from Reading last summer, Richards went on to make 17 appearances for Bayern across all competitions during the 2021-22 campaign, 12 of which came in the Bundesliga.
