Diego Contento bound for Bordeaux

Bayern Munich have confirmed that they have granted Diego Contento permission to hold transfer talks with Bordeaux.

The 24-year-old will head to France over the next few days to undergo a medical ahead of signing a permanent contract.

However, Bayern have revealed that they will retain 50% of the transfer rights to the left-back.

Munich-born Contento, who made 13 appearances in all competitions last season, signed for Bayern as a trainee back in 1995.
