Bayern Munich trounce Hamburger SV

Bayern Munich have advanced to the semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal by hammering Hamburger SV 5-0.

Mario Mandzukic put the German champions in front by tapping in uncontested following good work from Mario Gotze to get to the byline on the left.

Dante soon doubled their lead by squeezing a header past Hamburg goalkeeper Rene Adler.

Arjen Robben could have added to the tally just before half time, but his shot went straight into Adler's hands.

After the restart, the Dutchman made amends, however, when he chested down a high ball into the box and slotted home.

Mandzukic then added a fourth for the league leaders before completing his hat-trick minutes later with a turn and finish from close range to wrap up a 5-0 victory.
