Manuel Neuer hails "heavenly" Arjen Robben

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer describes Arjen Robben's last-gasp winner in the 2-1 victory over Mainz as "heavenly".

Manuel Neuer has paid tribute to Bayern Munich teammate Arjen Robben for his "heavenly" winner in Friday's 2-1 victory at Mainz 05.

The hosts looked on course to become just the fourth team to take points off Bayern this season, only for the Dutchman to convert Juan Bernat's lay-off in stoppage-time.

"It was heavenly," the German goalkeeper told reporters of Robben's last-gasp winner in Mainz. "We are delighted with ourselves!"

Elkin Soto had fired the hosts into a surprise lead, but the euphoria among the fans lasted just three minutes as Bastian Schweinsteiger levelled up as both sides went in level at the break.

Pep Guardiola's side, who are still unbeaten in the Bundesliga this season, moved 14 points clear of Wolfsburg at the summit.
