Thomas Muller hails "brilliant" Bayern Munich spirit

Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller praises the fighting spirit at the club following the 2-1 turnaround win against Stuttgart.

Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has praised the fighting spirit at the club, following their last-gasp 2-1 win over Stuttgart on Wednesday night in the Bundesliga.

Bayern were behind until 15 minutes to go, when a Claudio Pizarro header and an injury-time Thiago Alcantara scissor-kick made it 50 points from 54 for the Bavarians this season.

"We don't have to go crazy and start believing our own hype, but the fact is that the spirit in our team is just brilliant, and the way we celebrated the winning goal said it all," he told Bundesliga.com.

"We obviously have a healthy lead in the Bundesliga table, but we still approach every game with the same desire. That's the most important thing about us: we never let ourselves give up."

The win moved Bayern 13 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
