Thomas Muller: 'Augsburg win was tough'

Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller has insisted that his side's 2-0 win over Augsburg in the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday night was not plain sailing.

The result put Bayern into the quarter-finals and extended their unbeaten run, which Muller said brought a lot of emotions at the final whistle.

"We were aware that it was a very difficult game," he told Bundesliga.de. "We have not had an easy game tonight.

"There were a lot of emotions in it and we now go home happy."

Bayern are currently four points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
