Philip Lahm warns Toni Kroos about leaving

Bayern Munich defender Philip Lahm has warned his teammate Toni Kroos that he should be "careful" when considering whether to leave the club.

Kroos was heavily linked to Manchester United in the January transfer window, and reports that he is to leave the club continue to surface.

Lahm told Bild: "It is normal for him to consider his possibilities and negotiate.

"But if you already play for Bayern Munich, there are few alternatives, if any. This is, in my opinion, an absolute privilege to play here because this team has a winning mentality.

"Many players want to come to Bavaria, so be very careful and think before leaving such a club at this moment."

Kroos's contract expires in the summer and discussions over an extension have stalled.
