Philipp Lahm: 'Pep Guardiola future is not up to Bayern Munich'

Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm says that the future of manager Pep Guardiola is out of the players' hands.

Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm has admitted that the future of manager Pep Guardiola will not be influenced by the players.

The 44-year-old Spaniard is out of contract in the summer and yet to agree a new deal, which has led to speculation that he could leave to take charge of Manchester City, Chelsea or Arsenal.

Lahm has stated that he would like the former Barcelona boss to remain at the Allianz Arena.

"It's not a secret the team works well with him and follows him," Goal.com quotes the German defender as saying. "Everything else is not in our hands."

Guardiola has won back-to-back Bundesliga titles, the German Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup since taking charge of Bayern in 2012.
