Jupp Heynckes admits that winning against Mainz will be difficult but has confidence in his Bayern Munich players to beat their opponents away from home.

Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has expressed his confidence of winning against Mainz in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

The Bavarian giants will head into their away fixture 11 points clear at the top of the table.

"I've studied Mainz very closely and know exactly how they play, the runs they make, where they press and also how to combat that," he told reporters. "My players know exactly what they have to do.

"It's never easy against Mainz. The team has a good structure and good tactics. And Bayern have made very heavy weather of it against Mainz in recent years.

"But despite that, we have to be capable of seeing off even a team as cleverly assembled as this. We have to keep on winning."

Mainz are currently fifth in the league standings.
