Mario Gomez wants Bayern Munich extension

Mario Gomez has revealed that he is keen to extend his contract with Bayern Munich.

The striker's current deal at the Allianz Arena is due to expire at the end of next season.

However, the 26-year-old is now believed to be close to extending his stay with the Bavarians until the summer of 2016.

"The probability of me renewing my contract is very strong. I feel good," said the German international. "We've had excellent discussions with Bayern and they all want an extension. It could happen very soon."

Gomez has scored nine goals in his last five appearances.
