Bayern bring in Heynckes for fourth spell?

Bayern Munich have reportedly decided to appoint the club's legendary manager Jupp Heynckes as their boss until the end of the season.

Last week, Carlo Ancelotti was removed from his position in the dugout after a poor start to the campaign, leading to a whole host of names being linked with a switch to the Allianz Arena.

Thomas Tuchel, Julian Nagelsmann, Frank de Boer and Luis Enrique were all said to be in contention but according to Bild, Bayern have opted to go with Heynckes, who will lead the club for the fourth time.

The 72-year-old was first appointed by Bayern back in 1987, while the former forward's most recent reign came to an end in June 2013, before the arrival of Pep Guardiola.

Heynckes's last match in charge of his previous spell was the 2013 Champions League final, as Bayern claimed victory over rivals Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium.
