Javi Martinez: 'I'm starting to feel stronger following knee injury'

Martinez: 'I'm feeling stronger'

Bayern Munich midfielder Javi Martinez has insisted that he is doing all he can in order to get back to full fitness, having been out of action since last year.

Munich's holding man suffered long-term knee ligament damage against Borussia Dortmund in August 2014, but the Spain international has revealed that he is hoping to train with the team again in the next few months.

"We're doing some great work," said the 26-year-old in a video on the club's official YouTube channel.

"I'm stronger and starting to run now. I don't know for sure, but I'm hoping to be training with the team again in two or three months."

Martinez joined Bayern from Athletic Bilbao in 2012 and has since claimed both Bundesliga and Champions League crowns.
