Half-Time Report: Stuttgart holding Bayern Munich at the break

German champions Bayern Munich are being held by Stuttgart at home in this afternoon's Bundesliga clash.

Bayern Munich and Stuttgart head into half time tied at 0-0 in a Bundesliga match that will have no impact on the division's final standings.

The hosts, who secured the league title several weeks ago, dominated the first period, with Mario Mandzukic, Thomas Muller and Bastian Schweinsteiger all coming close to opening the scoring.

Stuttgart may had already secured their top-flight status before kickoff, but they created a handful of chances themselves, coming closest early on when Arthur Boka let fly from outside the box, forcing a save out of Manuel Neuer.

Bayern threatened again six minutes before the break when Arjen Robben's vicious strike was smothered by Stuttgart goalkeeper Sven Ulreich, whose heroics ensured that the deadlock remained intact at the halfway point.
