Robben rues 'terrible night' for Bayern

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has described his side's Champions League final defeat to Chelsea as a "terrible night".

With the score 1-1 after 90 minutes, the former Blue missed a penalty in the first period of extra time before the game was decided by spot kicks.

Didier Drogba's decisive penalty eventually saw Robben end up on the losing side for the second time in three years.

"I can't describe how I feel with words, but it's been a terrible night," he told reporters.

"Two or three times you feel you have the cup in your hands [during the match] but at the end you stand with nothing."

Robben left Chelsea for Real Madrid in 2009 after four years at Stamford Bridge.
