Arjen Robben out of Viktoria Plzen clash

Bayern Munich leave Arjen Robben out of their squad for tomorrow night's Champions League trip to Viktoria Plzen with a groin injury.

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has been ruled out of tomorrow night's Champions League clash with Viktoria Plzen as he continues to struggle with a niggling groin problem.

Robben missed last weekend's 2-1 win over Hoffenheim with the injury that he picked up after 25 minutes of last month's game against Hertha Berlin.

Bayern have decided to leave the Dutchman behind after travelling to the Czech Republic earlier today, with Robben continuing an individual rehabilitation programme at the club's training ground.

Thomas Muller occupied a wide role in Robben's absence last weekend, with Mario Gotze, Franck Ribery and Toni Kroos all options available in advanced areas for the Champions League holders.

Pep Guardiola's side could equal a Champions League record with victory over Plzen, as they aim for a ninth successive victory in the competition.
