Michael Ballack: "Bayern Munich are favourites"

Former German international Michael Ballack has insisted that Bayern Munich are the firm favourites in their Champions League clash with Chelsea.

The 35-year-old has represented both clubs in the past, but he has backed his former German employers to win the trophy due to their home advantage.

"Bayern are favourites. It is a huge advantage to play at home when you are in a final, where a lot of emotions play a role. This is an emotional advantage that Chelsea cannot compensate for," Ballack told Bild.

The Champions League final will take place at the Allianz Arena on May 19.
