Scott Wiseman, Chris Dagnall released by Barnsley

Championship side Barnsley have confirmed that the contracts of both Scott Wiseman and Chris Dagnall have been terminated by mutual consent.

Wiseman, who has been a regular in the side this season, has signed a contract with Preston North End in League One, while Dagnall is now a free agent.

"We wish [Wiseman] all the best and it's the way things work out in football, we just needed to freshen things up," Sky Sports News quotes manager Danny Wilson as saying.

Wilson took over the club at the end of last year for his second spell in charge.
