Twelve away for Barcelona

Barcelona will be without 12 members of their first-team squad over the next week due to the international break.

Barcelona will be without 12 members of their first-team squad over the next week as their defence of their La Liga title is interrupted by the international break.

Victor Valdes, Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta, Xavi, Cesc Fabregas and Pedro have all been included in the Spain squad for their upcoming World Cup qualification matches.

Alex Song has been selected in the Cameroon squad, while Alexis Sanchez, who scored twice against Real Valladolid at the weekend, will travel with the Chile squad.

Daniel Alves and Neymar, meanwhile, have been called into the Brazil squad for friendlies against South Korea and Zambia.

Highly-rated youngster Sergi Roberto, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United, has also been selected in the Spain Under-21 squad for their two European Championship 2015 qualifiers.
