Sandro Rosell keen to praise Neymar

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has heaped praise on Neymar amid speculation that the Santos striker is nearing a move to the Spanish club.

The 20-year-old has repeatedly been linked with a transfer to Barca, with some sections of the Brazilian media claiming that a deal has already been agreed between the two parties.

"Neymar is one of those special players; the type of player that our fans want. He is able to do that something extra compared to other players," Rosell told ESPN.

"However, he is contracted to Santos until 2014 and we will respect his commitment with them. Only until this time will we talk."

Neymar's impressive scoring record for Santos has seen him net 116 times in 195 games for the club.
