Guadiola: 'Maxwell wants to leave Barcelona'

Maxwell on verge of PSG move

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has revealed that left back Maxwell is on the verge of a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian has only featured 12 times for the Catalan giants this season and has made it clear that he would like to move.

Guardiola confirmed that negotiations with French side PSG are ongoing, with Maxwell keen for the deal to be completed.

"Maxwell informed us that he has an interesting offer from PSG and that he wants to accept it," the Spanish coach told reporters.

"I won't keep players from leaving if they want to.

"His transfer isn't settled yet, but we are in advanced talks. If he leaves, we can only thank him."

Maxwell joined Barcelona in 2009 after three years at Inter Milan.
