Frenkie de Jong has urged teammate Matthijs de Ligt to join him at Barcelona next season.
De Jong and De Ligt were both outstanding for Ajax during the 2018-19 campaign, helping the Dutch outfit to a league and cup double, in addition to reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League.
De Jong has already agreed a deal to join the Spanish champions in this summer's transfer window.
However, De Ligt's future is up in the air, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly now leading the race for the 19-year-old, who has also been linked with Juventus, Manchester United and Liverpool.
"Of course I would like him to come to Barcelona but we will see what happens. It's up to him. I don't know, it's his decision. You have to ask him about it but I hope he comes to Barca," De Jong told reporters.
De Jong and De Ligt both impressed as the Netherlands recorded a 3-1 win over England in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals on Thursday night to set up a final with Portugal this weekend.body check tags ::
