Cillessen addresses future amid Man United talk

Jasper Cillessen has admitted that he fears Barcelona might price him out of a move away from Camp Nou.

Cillessen remains the number one goalkeeper for Netherlands despite the fact that he has struggled for club football in recent years due to the presence of Marc-Andre ter Stegen in Catalonia.

The 30-year-old has been widely tipped to leave the Spanish champions this summer, with Manchester United said to be considering a swoop as the English club potentially look to replace David de Gea.

Cillessen, however, has suggested that Barca's £53m asking price is a huge problem.

"The fact that Barcelona are asking for £53m for me doesn't help," Marca quotes Cillessen as saying. "I'm calm at this moment and will wait and see what happens."

Cillessen made 11 appearances for the Spanish champions during the 2018-19 campaign but has featured in just four La Liga games during his time at Camp Nou.
