How Barcelona could line up against Athletic Bilbao

Barcelona head coach Xavi could make two changes to his side for Sunday's trip to Athletic Bilbao in La Liga.

The Catalan outfit, who are third in the table, eight points behind the leaders Real Madrid, will enter the match off the back of a 4-0 home success over Getafe last weekend.

Pedri was rested from the start against Getafe, but the Spaniard is set to return to the starting XI at San Mames, potentially replacing Joao Felix down the left.

Pau Cubarsi continues to impress in the middle of the Barcelona defence, but the 17-year-old could drop down to the bench for Sunday's match, with Inigo Martinez potentially given the nod against his former club.

Lamine Yamal is pushing for a recall down the right, but it seems likely that Raphinha will operate in that area of the field, with Pedri down the left and Robert Lewandowski through the middle.

Andreas Christensen is again expected to be used as a holding midfielder despite the availability of Oriol Romeu, with the Denmark international set to be joined in the middle by Frenkie de Jong and Ilkay Gundogan.

Barcelona will again be missing four players through injury in the shape of Gavi, Alejandro Balde, Ferran Torres and Marcos Alonso.

However, Torres is now close to a return, with the Spain international in the final stages of his recovery from the thigh problem which he suffered against Osasuna at the end of January.

Barcelona possible starting lineup: Ter Stegen; Kounde, Araujo, I Martinez, Cancelo; F de Jong, Christensen, Gundogan; Raphinha, Lewandowski, Pedri
