Preview: Barcelona vs. Elche

Sports Mole previews Barcelona's opening La Liga fixture against Elche at Camp Nou.

Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has a number of injury concerns ahead of his side's opening match in La Liga with Elche.

Neymar is a doubt after picking up an ankle injury in training earlier this week, while Pedro might not be risked after suffering with a virus.

Thomas Vermaelen is also attempting to regain full fitness after a minor problem, but Rafinha could earn a start in attack after spending time on loan at Celta Vigo last season.

Elche boss Fran Escriba will be hopeful that his team can improve on their performance last season after they avoided relegation by one point.

Los Franjiverdes have been handed the toughest of starts, but with the Catalan giants missing several first-team players, it could give Elche the opportunity to give a good account of themselves at Camp Nou.

On-loan Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic could be handed a debut in the centre of midfield.
