Xavi delighted with Diego Costa inclusion

Barcelona midfielder Xavi has revealed that the Spain squad are "all very happy" that Diego Costa has linked up with the La Roja squad.

The Atletico Madrid forward, who was handed his first call-up last week, is expected to make his debut for the European and world Champions against Italy on Wednesday.

"Diego is very happy to be here. And we're all very happy that he's joined. He's adapted very quickly to the group," he told TVE.

"He's a cheerful guy, really, really funny. He'll definitely add something."

Costa has scored 27 times for Atletico this season.
