Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has insisted that the English top flight remains the "best league in the world".
The Uruguayan star swapped Merseyside for Camp Nou last summer when joining Barcelona in a big-money move.
Suarez admits that he waved goodbye to the strongest division on the planet when completing his drawn-out transfer 12 months ago, but believes that he is now plying his trade at the "best team" around.
"I do not consider myself one of the best players in the world but it is a pleasure to play in the best team," he told ESPN. "The Premier League is the best league in the world but Barcelona are the best team.
"We still have goals to fulfil. We want to become the first team to win consecutive Champions Leagues. We're very motivated this season. We are obliged to keep winning."
Suarez scored 31 goals for Liverpool in his last season for the club, as they fell just short of clinching their first ever Premier League title.
