Luis Suarez: 'I always knew goals would come'

Luis Suarez stresses that he always believed that he would score goals on a regular basis for Barcelona.

Luis Suarez has insisted that he never doubted his ability to score goals on a regular basis for Barcelona.

Following his move from Liverpool last summer, the Uruguayan international found the net just three times in his 10 outings for the Catalans.

However, his statistics in front of goal have improved dramatically since February and he now has five goals in his previous two appearances - a haul which includes a hat-trick against Cordoba yesterday afternoon.

Speaking after that game, the 28-year-old revealed that he was always confident that he would come good at the Camp Nou.

"At first I took a bit of time to adapt, but I knew I'd end up scoring goals so, with the support of my friends and family, and knowing that what I had to do was work hard and play as I always have, the goals were going to come," he told the club's official website.

Suarez has scored 24 goals in 38 matches for Barca.
