Sandro Rosell has stated his pride in his achievements as Barcelona president after officially announcing his resignation.
The Spaniard is embroiled in a lawsuit against him which relates to alleged irregularities surrounding the signing of Neymar last summer.
After stepping down, the 49-year-old talked up his record as president.
He told reporters: "We've won the Champions League, two league titles, the other sports teams have also won a number of different trophies at home and abroad to show our power as a worldwide entity.
"If you think back to Ronaldinho's goal in Paris, Lionel Messi's goals, what happened in Rome, in London. We've reduced the debt and regained assets.
"We have the pride of knowing some of the best players in the world play for Barca."
Josep Maria Bartomeu takes over as the new president until 2016.
