West Ham United defender Winston Reid has praised loan signing Alex Song for the impact that he is having on the team.
The Barcelona midfielder has played a key role in the Hammers' solid first half to the season in the Premier League.
Reid believes that Song's experience of playing at the top level has helped the rest of the squad at Upton Park.
"Alex is a great guy to have around," he told the club's official website. "He's a funny character and he brings a lot of quality into the team. When you've played at clubs like Arsenal and Barcelona, you have to have a bit of quality to play for those sides."
West Ham are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Bristol City in the FA Cup fourth round.
