Martin Montoya hails Dani Alves

Barcelona defender Martin Montoya has branded teammate Dani Alves "the best full-back in the world".

Alves came under criticism for his performances last season, while he also lost his spot in the Brazil XI at the World Cup this summer.

However, Montoya, who will seemingly battle Alves for a spot in the Barca team this season, has hailed the full-back.

"I think he is the best full-back in the world so I'll be competing with him but also learning from him," he told reporters at a press conference.

Alves now looks set to remain at the Camp Nou despite strong talk of a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
