Luis Enrique to be named new Barcelona coach?

Luis Enrique will reportedly be named as the new coach of Barcelona.

Former boss Tito Vilanova stepped down from the role on Friday on the grounds of ill-health following two bouts of cancer.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas was installed as early favourite to replace the Spaniard, but the Portuguese is dismissive of his chances of taking over at Camp Nou.

However, Enrique, who became the Celta Vigo coach six weeks ago, is ready to leave his current club in order to take over the reins at the Spanish champions, according to TV3.

Enrique is a former Barcelona player and featured for the club from 1996 to 2004.
